Historic Germantown’s annual Hall of Fame Ceremony will be on June 7. It will honor Northwest Philly changemakers Steve Kurtz, Sara M. Lomax, and Ursula Rucker at the Commodore John Barry Arts and Cultural Center in Mt. Airy.
Visit Philadelphia collaborates with the Free Library and Little Free Library, distributing over 1,500 banned books by Black authors in “Little Free(dom) Libraries” across the city for Black History Month, with Historic Germantown serving as a distribution site to promote literacy, challenge censorship, and celebrate Black stories.
