Germantown is full of great stories! We want you to help us tell them.

Join us for an interactive workshop and learn how to gather and share community stories. We will teach you the basics of interviewing your friends, family and neighbors using remote recording techniques. We will also listen to examples of personal stories gathered by other interviewers. The workshop will be taught by experienced audio storytellers.

At the end of the workshop we will provide information on how you can be a part of the Germantown Info Hub Neighborhood Stories Project, and become a community interviewer.

If you are selected as a community interviewer, and we publish your work, you will receive $100 for yourself, and the person you interview will receive $100. If you tell your own story, you will receive $100.

Join the workshop and nominate a storyteller to interview, or nominate yourself to tell a story about growing up/living in Germantown, how Covid-19 has affected your life, memories of Germantown and more.

Everyone is invited to attend the workshop on interviewing techniques, but only those who live in Germantown are eligible to be community interviewers and storytellers.
