As volunteers for the Germantown Info Hub have tabled throughout the community, some people have asked a question that, while not as popular as concerns over trash, safety and the Germantown High School, still deserves some consideration.

Germantown is adjacent to both Jefferson University and LaSalle University. Given the proximately, what potential impact could they have in the neighborhood as it continues to grapple with various changes?

As part of their senior project, a group of Jefferson communication students will provide some thoughts about this during an event on Saturday at 10 a.m., at the People’s Education Center on Germantown Avenue, next to Uncle Bobbies Coffee and Books.

The students, who have assisted the Info Hub since January, will share articles they have written on the topic, and lead a discussion on how this relationship can and should play out in the future.

They will also speak about what they have learned about the Germantown community as a result of this project.

Please join the Germantown Info Hub, and support this final project of Jefferson Communication students.

Refreshments will be served.
